Description

Pink to redish cobaltkoritnigite globular aggregates, partially covered by colorless baryte crystals.
Cobaltkoritnigite from the Les Ferreres mine was characterized by electron microprobe (EPMA). Empirical formula:
(Co0.43Zn0.34Cu0.12Ni0.10)Σ0.99[(AsO3)(OH)0.98]+nH2O
It has been found only in the lower levels of the mine, in some of the walls of the galleries where schists outcrop acting as matrix of the specimens, near them and on the dolomia. Associated to gypsum, baryte, calcite or dolomite.
