Description

Interesting specimen from an uncommon Belgium locality showing groups of bastnäsite-(Ce) rosettes, with a yellowish-beige color, with brilliance, and contrasting ion the black matrix.
Calcio-ancylite-(Ce), bastnäsite-(Ce) and synchysite-(Ce) have been identified in the fractures crosscutting Devonian quartzites of Bertrix area. These minerals are the first REE-carbonates reported in Belgium. You could find more info about this quarry in:
