Description

A specimen from the Cowhorse hush, near Wellhope, comprising lustrous, sharp, daylight purple-grey and yellow fluorite crystals to 0.8cm on siderite and ironstone matrix. The crystals vary from clear edges to frosted centres, some have minor zoning and/or cubo-octahedral bevelled edges. There are a couple of contacts and some peripheral damage.

A very rare Weardale locality.
