Description

A large cabinet specimen as a rib of solid crystalline deep indigo/purple fluorite with upper sides largely covered with interlocking stepped cubic faces and banded beneath. The fluorite has a good lustre and by the weight the matrix is intermixed with baryte as the classic Blue John.

Despite a few light contacts this is a pretty good example from one of Derbyshire's best known localities.
