Description

This is a specimen of michenerite in a matrix that includes violarite, chalcopyrite, and pyrite. The michenerite is bright silver in colour, with a blue tint.

Under the microscope, you will find a 0.3 mm grain and two 0.4 mm michenerite grains, as well as a complete 0.5 x 0.2 mm bleb.

The Vermilion Mine is the type locality for both the michenerite and the violarite.
