Small cabinet (7-10 cm)

3.00cm

Description

Pale yellow beryl crystals up to 3 cm in/on matrix. The crystals are not terminated.

The original label states 'Rachl' as the locality. There is just a 'Rachlalm' in Germany, in Bavaria close to the Chiemsee (lake Chiemsee). But this is not known as a locality. As so often it might have been made up by the original collector to distract from the real locality. I think  the material from the Pauliberg (see mineralienatlas) comes closest when I compare the beryl and matrix color. At least I can guarantee it's from Bavaria.
