Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Class:
Massive/Crystalline
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
12.5 × 10.8 × 3 cm
Weight:
787.00gr
Description

Cut and polished slab of coppery colored nickeline (pseudomorph after bismuth?) with metallic gray bismuth and another unidentified glossy metallic gray mineral species (galena? gersdorffite?) and pale brown siderite and/or dlomite/calcite (?). On the back minor green annabergite and purple erythrite.

The nickeline-bismuth-mix shows a nice fern-like pattern, resulting from the dendritically grown crystallization.

One side of this mixed ore sample is cut, the other raw. Unfortunately we didn't get an exact locality.
