Description

A great British classic. Dozens of moss-green, barrel-shaped pyromorphite crystals, tightly packed on the front, grey plumbogummite-phosphohedyphane crystals (an unique mix - analysed!) on the back and thin crusts on pyromorphite crystals on the side and a bit on the front. Weird hollow shapes at the side show another generation of pyromorphite - a cast after ...?

Not only a very good esthetic classic, but also very interesting. Hard to find something comparable ...

Was sold to us and listed in the last auction with the locality 'Wheal Alfred', which proved to be impossible. We had the gray material analyzed. The result was a mix of plumbogummite and phosphohedyphane - quite unique, but both minerals are present in Roughton Gill. So, we're pretty sure we got this specimen's locality right now. However: there's never a 100% guarantee.
