Description

Dark calcite from Herja is one of the great Romanian classics. This type of calcite is almost distinctive. The color is caused by jamesonite that is included in the calcite. This item is very good and shows at least two generations of calcite with different habit and color. The older generation is darker and has a fine micro crystallized structure and very high luster. The younger generation is crystallized as blades which are not so dark. The item is in good condition damage wise.
