Description

This old mine has been producing some of the world's finest well-crystallized specimens for over a century. This specimen is that kind of Herja is famous for. The specimen consists of two generations of baryte. The older one shows yellow crystals with very high luster and beautiful termination and shape. The contrast to this is the 2nd generation with dark, larger crystals at the frontside. The baryte is grey colored by jamesonite (?) inclusions which is typical for a few specimens of this locality. The specimen was found decades ago and became very rare. Fine condition.
