Description

This is a very rare specimen from a small find in 2015. The specimen was found in an +100 years old mine in a single pocket. It constsits mainly of a pseudomorph of barite after laumontite. The laumontite was crystallized a long needles, that were replace by white barite. But that's not all: the barite is partly covered by very nice cubic fluorite. The contrast of both minerals is very good. The fluorite may be not large, but it's very attractive - not just rare.

The person I have this specimen from told me that he has seen the whole find. Only a hand full of specimens were perfect as the cleft was very narrow. So most specimens had contact to each other that not every side is perfect terminated. The display side is in good condition, damagewise.

The find was also documented by a TV show before it was over and will be airing this winter.

So there's no more similar specimens to come from this mine - and this is the best one I have!
