Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Huanzala Mine, Huallanca, Bolognesi Province, Ancash Department, Peru
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
9.5 × 6 × 6 cm
Description

That's a 360 degree specimen that is very showy all around. The quartz-crystals are lustrous, pretty clear and max. 3 cm long. They are intergrown with large chalcopyrite that shows a dark patina. The crystals are up to 3 cm large and have a great contrast to the Quartz and the Pyrite also. The Pyrites are common with a clear termination and great luster, but in combinatin with that dark chalcopyrite it's awesome. The specimen is almost undamaged. Some quartz-rystals are not terminated, but you'll have to look closer to find them. The item is free standing.
