Rare Mineral

Description Tabs

Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3.5 × 3 × 2 cm
Description

Now that's what I call rare. Owyheeite is hard to get, and good quality even harder. This specimen is from the same lot J.F. Carpentier made the analysis of (http://www.mindat.org/gallery.php?loc=157679&min=3049). This specimen belongs to the best that are offered at the moment (to be honest, I haven't seen another one so far). The specimen is very rich, the front is covered by metallic, lustrouse needles of owyheeite. The matrix is crystallized pyrite, that gives a good contrast. This piece is very stable.
