Readings for Radioactive Minerals are taken with a scintillator device. Radiacode 103 scintillator device is placed on the specimen to read the highest area of activity. This reading can vary greatly with other instruments. Cheap Geiger counters will read significantly less. UV minerals are pictured with a 365 nm UV light. Regular 295 nm black lights may not cause the same glowing reaction. Standard pictures are under natural or white led lights.
