Description

The best and the last one of these absolutely rare and astounding pieces from my personal collection. Dense. Solid. Nearly all pure Uraninite. It is hard to get any better or any more radioactive than this for the size of specimen. This is the hottest ore from the premier place on all of planet earth for the most active Uraninite. A bit bigger than the tip of my thumb, this glorious specimen rings in the new year with immense radiation around 430,000 to as high as around 450,000 cpm when placed on the Radiacode 103. Covered with beautiful and botryoidal bubbles of Uraninite crystallization that is dense, dark, and beautiful with a nice glossy sheen. I saved my best for last, or first I should say. This is my only remaining of this size and formation and the best of this type that I had from all of 2024. I was enjoying it in my own display but now I hope to find new favorites, until then this will be the last of this sort that is listed unless I can track more down in 2025. Thank you all for a great year and have an absolutely blessed, healthy, and prosperous new year.

Seller's terms and conditions

The seller accepts no liability for mishandling of mineral samples or damage during shipment. Research proper handling of radioactive minerals prior to ordering. Common courtesy would imply that one inform roommates, parents, landlord, etc. of such material being present in the home. We do ship all mineral specimens as safely and securely as humanly possible and have much experience doing so. Accidents do happen. For extra delicate and expensive specimens, we provide and recommend the option for an increased insurance level on the shipping whenever possible to cover any damages. This must be expressed upon the payment of the invoice. We do not accept returns. Be certain you want the specimen you are bidding on. We take as many pictures as possible and include accurate measurements, weight, and descriptions. We are a very small family business so we simply cannot absorb the loss of time and money that it takes to process a return. If something breaks during shipment, it is the buyers responsibility to file a claim with the shipping company. We take pictures of everything we send and the condition it is in. If a specimen arrives broken, take many pictures and have proof of the amount paid to seek reimbursement from shipping company. International is not covered by insurance. If there is a question regarding these policies or about a mineral sample, we are open to all communication and will usually respond within 24 hours whenever possible. Readings for Radioactive Minerals are taken with a scintillator device. Radiacode 103 scintillator device is placed on the specimen to read the highest area of activity. This reading can vary greatly with other instruments. Cheap geiger counters will read significantly less. UV minerals are pictures with a 365 nm UV light. Regular 295 nm black lights may not cause the same glowing reaction. Regular pictures are under natural or white led lights.
