Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
6.5 × 6.1 × 0.4 cm

26.00gr
Description

Rich and lustrous plate featuring myriads of orange smithsonite crystals of great lustre on a flat, very thin carbonate matrix, crystallized on both sides. Smithsonite is in good shape and with minimal bruising.
This was most likely part of a much larger sculptural pocket, where the thin wafers detached very easily.

I have seen specimens like this only once from Lavrion, and this is possibly one of the best I have ever got ahold of. Dated back to 2014.
