Description

Intriguing and very rich miniature specimen displaying zincite, willemite and franklinite. Zincite makes the classic blood red spots and it is associated to franklinite, which makes the jet black ones. Associated, some green willemite too. The pale matrix appears to be spatic calcite.
Very rich and colorful, quite representative for the three species.

Former collection George Fletcher (UK). The specimen comes with a handwritten label pasted at its base, and reports the original acquisition date, 29 Jan 1866!!!
