Description

Single crystal of amazonite from this classic Coloradoan locale. Color is pale blue with locally white paler (perthitic?) structures, providing a delicate color contrast. Good lustre for the crystal. On the side, an hexagonal cast, most likely attributable to a quartz which was once part of the geode system.
In very good conditions and rather sharp. A good specimen, from the Charles Dodsworth collection (UK).
