Crystal Group/Cluster

Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.2 × 4.6 × 3.7 cm

52.00gr
Description

Elongated calcite crystals covered with a dusting of hundreds of desmine crystals of good lustre, providing a quasi-glittering effect on this specimen.

Desmine is an uncommon zeolite, especially in the Alps.
The fact that this comes from the NEAT Gotthard tunnel makes it ever rares, as the specimens have to be collected quickly due to the ongoing works.

Quite good for both the specie and the locale, this comes straight out of my collection.
