Description

In Italian, specimens of this size are called 'ghiande' (acorns) ... and you can tell why!
In this specimen, garnets are crystallized all around as a floating mass of excellent lustre and transparency, intermixed with white fibrous asbestos. Excellent gemminess for the demantoid, the specimen is a floater. On the backside, a pasted, handwritted label in German from Lehmann himself (although the locality is wrongly reported as Liguria).

Sought-after material, rare in this quality. We are talking about a 30+ years old specimen, from the good old days of Sferlun.
