Description

An aggregate of vesuvianite on the typical green-grey metasomatic matrix. Vesuvianite displays brown blocky crystals with numerous exceptionally lustrous faces. Some crystals are locally transparent. Vesuvianite predominantly populates a metasomatic vein, which is also hosting a white mineral possibly from the sodalite group (not identified). This gives a very esthetic display to the specimen. A few minimal peripheral bruises.

Quite rich and good quality for Vesuvius, very rare to find at shows on this size nowadays.
