Description

Thick blue aggregate composed of myriads of very fine blue fibers. From a probably very thick vein, the overall sinusoidal appearance of the fibers gives a catting effect, a classic these specimens are famous for.

From the superb B. Flurin collection (CH), this is a specimen dated back to 1971. B. Flurin was a specialist of Alpine material, and this specimen falls into his very few tens of non-Alpine selection.

Once a true South African classic, nowadays very scarce to see if not in older collections, especially in this size. An absolute rarity.

Indicated height includes the original custom made base (painted wood).
