Description

Solid quartz mass lined with massive vivid orange sursassite. Associated, several masses of dark psilomelane and Mn oxides. In addition, a few bright orange/yellow spots of possible romeite (not confirmed).

The locality is located at circa 2000 m elevation, and it is pretty hard to reach. Specimens from the type locality are very sought after and very hard to find even at Swiss mineral shows. This is possibly the best I have seen in years, and easily over 30 years old.
