Description

The Somma-Vesuvius complex is the type locality for this very rare specie. The current specimen nicely shows sharp creamy cuspidine crystals grown on top in the matrix vugs, associated to dark brown vesuvianite and green lustrous phyllosilicates. On a side vug, one cuspidine crystal appears covered (epimorphed?) by a secondary yellow creamy crystals, possibly nepheline.

Excellent crystals for this rare specie!
