Description

Unusually long, freestanding crystal of celestite from this classic defunct Sicilian evaporite deposit. The crystal is exceptionally lustrous and with minimal peripheral bruising. At circa 1/4th of its height, two smaller crystals protrude from one of the side faces, with the smallest one being fully transparent. On the main crystal, it is possible to observe some crystal growth patterns too.

A special feature of this very specimen is the sulfur inclusions at the bottom of the specimens, which give a canary yellow hue to the crystal(s).

The crystal comes from the legendary Indergand stock (CH) and it is 50+ years old. I have treasured it in my collection for over 10 years and now it is ready to go to the best offerer!
