Description

Very large plate of over a dozen of idiomorph pyrite crystals of great lustre covering a druzy of needle quartzes. Pyrite is mostly pentagonododecahedral, fresh, with mirror lustre and only very minor alteration. A couple of crystal faces resemble the rare diploid habitus, although it is not very clear. Quartz crystals occasionally have red iron oxide stains, which give the specimen an overal reddish hue.

Some peripheral bruising throughout, this is an over two decades old specimen. Sizeable for the locality, not commonly seen on the market,  rather retrieved in older collections.
