Description

Up for sale a couple of rare (for the locale) amethyst crystals from the renowned Pollone Mine, in Tuscany - defunct since over two decades. The two crystals are sized:

1) 2.4x1.3x1.3

2) 1.7x0.9x0.8

They are in mostly good conditions, with mild amethyst phantom and, when backlit, the small one displays a weak glasuhr. Good glassy lustre and in good conditions overall, they carry the classic (for the locality) iron oxide stain, which I left untouched to preserve the geological signature. A few minor peripheral dings.

Self collected in 2001, they are among the very few I have ever seen for sale. They come from the mine manouver platform just outside the mine, were they most likely survived the crushing along with the main ore.

In my collection since day 1.
