Description

Italian rodingite is world renowned for the quality of minerals they have provided to collectors. This specimen is a rich cabinet featuring a number of garnet 'berries' of dark red color and with the classic crystal habitus for the area. The largest crystal aggregate is as big as 9 mm across, quite sizeable for the area.
The hessonite is dark red/brown, often transparent, very lustrous and quite well on relief on the matrix.

An excellent specimen, from the legendary collection Bonisoli (I).
