Description

Myriads of brown to brick red pyrochlore crystals, some of them displaying good pyramidal faces. Associated, black-green sprays of lustrous aegirine on white spatic matrix (analcime?). Aegirine is very lustrous and well developed, and pyrochlore is scattered throughout the white matrix.
In the dark vug underneath the main aegirine crystal there is a botryodal cluster of dark brown lustrous pyrochlore crystals. Best observed at 10x.

The specimen is quite contrastful and rich for this classic, defunct locality. Quite representative, it comes from a lucky acquisition date back circa 10 years ago.
