Description

Scoglina Pass is a Ligurian locality of regional importance, famous for its brookite, far less famous than Bregaceto. Crystals are sporadic and rarely exceed a few millimeters. In my experience, I have never spotted a specimen outside of Italian mineral shows.

The specific specimen is a very elegant quartz miniature of very good quality featuring a 4 mm group of subparallel brookite crystals. The latter are very dark brown, mostly transparent, with the internal black 'glasuhr' and excellent lustre. The secondart brookite is a 1 mm individual dark brown crystal on quartz, very lustrous.
The main quartz is a 2.3 cm slightly curved individual crystal, with a white core resembling a faden.

A very good specimen for the locality.
