Description

Two leucite crystals are interpenetrating along a subparallel surface displaying a funny 'snowman-like' habitus. Overall, crystals are well-developed. At the base of the larger leucite, a handful of jet black augite crystals, making the classic paragenesis for this group. The grey powdery dusting is the original magmatic matrix.

Very unusual group from this classic locality in Southern Italy. Former collection Kasper (CH), dated back to the 70s.
