Description

One of the most classic specimens - a Herodsfoot Mine bournonite. It comes as a solid metallic matrix cabinet featuring over two dozens interpenetrating crystals of very lustrous bournonite crystals, beautifully contrasted by white quartz. The color contrast between fresh blocky bournonite and white quartz make several areas of the specimen very photogenic. Most bournonite crystals feature visible cogweheel shape. Very minor peripheral contacts, there are spots of massive iridescent chalcopyrite as well, which give further color to the specimen.
Very sought after. Nowadays good specimens can be found only in old collections and are typically very highly priced.
