Description

An interesting specimen of pinkish zircon from Val Gridone, Switzerland. An elongated individual nicely develops within a flaky annite pocket, showing good lustre and the typical cohesive planar fractures that give the typical 'pale vein' structure to these crystals. The specimen is host within a solid white nepheline matrix.
Excellent color contrast for this beautiful miniature. After the find, these specimens became very sought after by collectors and thus increasingly scarce on the market.
