Two dozens very lustrous arsenopyrite crystals proudly croup out of grey schist matrix on this oldtimer specimen. Arsenopyrite is very lustrous and fresh, with evident faces.
A very intriguing specimen, rather difficult to spot nowadays. Sizes include the base.

Former collection B. Flurin (Switzerland). Sizes include wooden base.

B. Flurin was a knowledgeable Swiss collector. He was specialised in Swiss localities, choice specimens, odd quartz shapes and inclusions.

As his collection was mostly assembled between the 50s and the 70s - when the Swiss road system was significantly implemented - he has access to specimens whose localities are now largely either defunct or restricted.
One key feature of his collection was that, with only a few exceptions, his specimens were glued on custom made wooden bases, which he would also paint one by one. All specimens in his collections were balanced aesthetically, as they would display best.
