Description

Black, metallic, very lustrous hematite crystals populate the specimen and nicely contrasts with white quartz crystals. Main hematite crystal shows growth patterns with resemble a 'gwindel-like', twisted individual and it is in excellent display conditions. A further peculiarity of this specimen is given by some of the crystals showing the renowned - although pretty rare - iridescence Elba specimens are known for. As the iridescence comes on the most lustrous crystals, it enhances the esthetic of the specimen even further.

From an Italian collection that I have acquired this summer. It comes from a larger specimen which I has been carefully trimmed.
