Description

An exceptional specimen of black wulfenite crystals from Glove Mine, USA. Myriads of tabular crystals of wulfenite are either self standing or interconnected upon a coronadite-rich gossan matrix, quite fine grained and powdery, but solid. The lustre is mirror for most crystals, both large and small. Interestingly, the main crystals of this group are so lustrous that the color is hard to depic, as they reflect their surroundings. The crystals are all around the coronadite matrix, making this possibly a floater.

Unusually seen in this exceptional quality, this is part of a limited find dated back in the 60s, when it was purchased by a Swiss collector.
