Description

One of the most sought-after Alpine minerals: fluorite!

Complex floater of fluorite octahedrons from this legendary Alpine locality. The fluorite crystals are perfect octahedrons, with no matrix nor attachment points throughout. The interesting feature is given by the chlorite, which partially coates the crystals but also permeates them as inclusions. The clarity of the fluorite is such that one can clearly discern the chlorite flakes! Where the crystal is not 'filled' by the chlorite, the color is a pale pink.

In outstanding conditions, provided a couple negligible contacts. From a recently acquired Swiss collection.
