Description

Remarkably large specimen of complex crystallised, lustrous, jet black magnetite crystals, with a number of individual crystals appearing in etched vugs. Non etched, white calcite and traces of brassy chalcopyrite crystals give an excellent color contrast to the specimen. This comes from a very thick vein, where important work had to be carried out for the extraction of specimens. As a confirmation, the specimen clearly shows a drilling hole on its side.

In good conditions, this is a very sizeable specimen from Brosso mine. Dated back to the 80s, specimens of this size are very scarce on the market.
