A beautiful cluster of semi-transparent dark brown/reddish wulfenite crystals perched on top of a canary yellow mimetite-covered speck of limonite. Wulfenite crystals are well formed and with exceptional for the locality lustre and transparency.
It comes from a find dated back to the end of the 90s. Nowadays wulfenite specimens from Plaka mine are rather scarce as the area is collapsing and dangerous to access.

A tiny jewel from the ancient mining district of Lavrion, Greece. Former collection Christian Mavris.
