Description

An excellent specimen of almandine garnet perched on pale pink, fine grained rhyolite matrix. The crystal is a dark red, sharp textbook crystal, with exceptionally lustrous faces and occasional growth patterns (stripes) on some of the exposed ones.

Great color and contrast, the specimen comes from a collection assembled in the '70s.
