Description

Italian rodingite is world renowned for the quality of minerals they have provided to collectors. This specimen is a rich small miniature featuring a number of garnet 'berries' of dark red color and with the classic crystal habitus for the area. The hessonite is lustrous and quite well on relief on the matrix, and contrast very well with associated green clinochlore leaves.
This very good specimen comes from a find dated back to a few decades ago from the famous locality of Mt. Argentea.

Former collections Bernardoni and Contucci (Italy).
