Description

While gathering the minerals for this auction, I found in a little box this beauty, the last I have: a very old specimen of baryte from Northern Italy. Shiny and translucent crystals (up to 5 mm) scattered along hydrothermal veins, on a sedimentary rock. In paragenesis, dolomite as lenticular crystals.

EDS verified at the University of Milan.

Very rare and seldom seen on the market.
