Description

A splendid specimen of rare garnet var. grossular with grass green phantoms from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals to 5mm are transparent and gem with grass green cores which are result of chromium, and surrounded by transparent colorless areas. The crystals have a sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible contrast. The green cored garnets are among the most unusual and rare Jeffrey mine garnets.
