Description

Unique type of beryl var. alkali-beryl crystals from Deo Darrah, Badakhshan, Afghanistan. It displays well formed tabular hexagonal crystals with gemmy areas. They are light blue at the rims to dark blue at the center forming phantom like layers. The crystals have cool natural etching on the sides. They are lustrous. For references see the 2018 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 49, # 4. In very good condition – some natural imperfections. In a plastic box.
