Description

From a recent find at this notable location for borates - a new habit of acicular roweite associated with aesthetic bultfonteinite on crusts of datolite var: bakerite. Although bakerite has been listed as discredited by the IMA, it is due to lack of analysed material. This find might change that! The roweite groups are small but would result in beautiful pictures under the microscope - my pictures are just macro shots. These specimens are safe to ship as thet are not as fragile as the look. The bultfonteinite in this find is excellent and the bakerite really unusual. This piece features a cast of bakerite - probably formed on andradite, the cast is host to the perfect bullfonteinite sprays and one side if the cast is 'contaminated' by brown roweite.
