Description

Cue ABBA "Take a chance on me" music... This new find (mid 2019) from the now legendary borate deposit in Inner Mongolia has yielded fantastic bultfonteinite (the large white sprays) specimens on a matrix of bubbly bakerite (now a datolite variety according to IMA). But there's more, you will find, on this piece two other minerals - see pictures - golden brown acicular needles arranged in neat radiating round groups. They are about 3-4mm in diameter and glassy colourless rhombohedral crystals that could turn out to be something very interesting. The bad news is that at the time of this auction, the analysis results have not come to me yet. So that's why you 'take a chance'.... We will share the analysis nce we have it.
