Stilpnomelane is an uncommon layered silicate, related to mica and chlorite group minerals. Lustrous, brassy,reddish brown lathes, microcrystals and needles from a solid group of stilpnomelane . This is showy and excellent material and is a very highly representative and uncommon from this little known Australian locale
