Description

Olive green to yellowish green barrels of pyromorphite cover the majority of the matrix on this attractive minature from the Black Star Opencut at Mount Isa. Interestingly, this colour is uncommon for the loacle with most specimens being lemon yellow latrgish crystals with a mat finish. These crystals have areasonalble luster and grade from green to yellow at the termination. This is an old specimen and was acquired by Joan Lamond from George Macdonald in the early 1980's
