Description

Dolomite is an uncommon secondary carbonated from Broken Hill, reflecting the low magnesium conent in the primary ore. However, in the early 1990's at the north end of the Kintore Opencut, a vugy zone was encountered with coronadite and quartz ore in which were scattered translucent to white dolomite crystals.

This specimen is from that find and is particularly good, a complete stalactite of coronadite completely enclosed in pearly white dolomite aggregates.
