Description

The Anchor Tin Mine is an old tin mine in NE Tasmania, reopened briefly in the 1980's. The tin and other ore minerals are disseminated in a greisenised granite. this specimen consists of numerous resinous red brown cassiterite in a mass of greenish phlogopite.
